Helldivers 2 “Truth Enforcers” Warbond: New Weapons, Armor, and Cosmetics Arrive October 31st
Arrowhead Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment are deploying the "Truth Enforcers" Warbond, a premium content drop for Helldivers 2, on October 31st, 2024. This isn't just a cosmetic update; it's a major arsenal expansion, allowing players to become Super Earth's elite Truth Enforcers.
Enforce the Truth with New Gear
The Warbond, accessible through the Destroyer ship's Acquisitions Center for 1,000 Super Credits, operates similarly to a battle pass but with permanent access to unlocked content. It focuses on upholding the Ministry of Truth's ideals, providing players with powerful new weaponry and armor.
The arsenal includes:
- PLAS-15 Loyalist Plasma Pistol: A versatile sidearm with semi-automatic and charged shot options.
- SMG-32 Reprimand: A rapid-firing submachine gun ideal for close-quarters combat.
- SG-20 Halt: A powerful shotgun alternating between stun and armor-piercing rounds.
New armor sets enhance survivability and style:
- UF-16 Inspector: Sleek, white light armor with red accents and the "Proof of Faultless Virtue" cape. Features the Unflinching perk, reducing stagger from hits.
- UF-50 Bloodhound: Red-accented medium armor offering increased tankiness, including the "Pride of the Whistleblower" cape and the Unflinching perk.
Further customization options include new banners, cosmetic patterns for Hellpods, exosuits, and Pelican-1, plus a new "At Ease" emote. The "Dead Sprint" booster allows continued sprinting and diving past stamina limits at the cost of health.
Can the Warbond Revive Helldivers 2's Player Base?
Despite a strong initial launch (peaking at 458,709 concurrent Steam players), Helldivers 2 has seen a player count decline, partly due to initial account linking restrictions. While the current Steam player count is below 40,000, the "Truth Enforcers" Warbond's substantial content aims to reignite interest and bring players back to the fight for Super Earth.
