As the chill of winter grips the northern hemisphere, Honkai Impact 3rd is set to warm things up with its latest update, "In Search of the Sun," launching on January 9th. This update promises a sunny escape with a host of new content to keep you engaged until spring arrives.
The star of the show is Durandal's new battlesuit, the Reign Solaris. This IMG-type Physical DMG dealer transforms Durandal into a smaller, more agile fighter. Players can switch between two modes: Rampager, which focuses on charging up attacks for intense brawling, and Skyrider, allowing swift movement across the battlefield. Alongside this, you can acquire Durandal's signature weapons, the Valorous Effulgence and PRI-ARM Valorous Effulgence: New Voyage, enhancing your combat capabilities.
The storyline expands with "Bouquets of Unfulfilled Wishes," bringing back the Dreamseeker and her companion to the Mars system to continue their investigation into the Ten Shus war. Expect a mix of drama, emotion, and action, including the new On-Duty Work Guide minigame. This minigame challenges you to maneuver Cube-ianka through a 3D grid to solve puzzles, adding a fresh layer of gameplay.
But that's not all! You have the chance to earn a share of 60,000,000 Crystals by completing main story chapters, though you'll need to act fast as they're drawn from a central pool. Additionally, the new featured event, Countdown: To Sweet Dreams, offers a more relaxed experience after the main chapter's intensity.
Familiar faces like Mei, Theresa, and Fu Hua make a return, and you'll face off against a new and unusual boss while commanding followers in battle like a monster trainer. The update includes rewards such as Crystals, Source Prisms, and more, along with the debut of Senadina's new outfit, Steering Inequations.
