Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his work in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found “barely alive” in his Atlanta hotel room, where he was attending a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Association.

A video posted on a GoFundMe page, which has already raised an incredible $174,653 for his medical expenses and other bills, reveals that Johnson was in a coma. In the video, he expresses his profound gratitude for the outpouring of support: “I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you.”

Johnson recounts the events, stating, "Rumors of my demise, well they weren't exaggerated. It was very close, very close. But I'm still here." He credits his wife, Kim Johnson, and son for their quick thinking in contacting the hotel and ensuring he received immediate medical attention. He was subsequently placed in a coma for five days.

He extends heartfelt thanks to the National Alzheimer’s Association for supporting his family, to Ted Leonsis, chairman of the Washington Capitals parent company, for a generous $25,000 donation, and to friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker for their instrumental role in setting up the GoFundMe. He also expresses deep appreciation to Bethesda, who publicly showed their support, saying, "You say that I'm your friend. I am. Always will be. Love you guys." Finally, he expresses his love and gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support.

"It's going to be a while as I work my way back, but I'm coming back," he assures his fans. "I look forward to seeing and having you all hear me then. Cheers."

Johnson's extensive voice acting career includes a wide range of film and television roles, but he is perhaps best known for his work with Bethesda. His memorable performances include Ron Hope in Starfield, Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, and many more.
