Unlocking the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot Rescue Mission: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals
Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players a vast array of explorable worlds. Beyond the main game, however, lies a hidden secret: the Lost Galaxy. Access to this area is granted only by discovering ten cleverly concealed portals scattered throughout the game's levels. This guide provides precise locations and instructions for finding each one.
Note that levels containing a hidden portal are indicated by a swirling icon on the level select screen, alongside the bot and puzzle piece counts.
Hidden Portal Locations:
1. Az-Tech Trail:
Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This action will reveal the portal.
2. Creamy Canyon:
Early in the level, you'll encounter a snowy arena with a ladybug enemy. Proceed past it to a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it towards the icy statue, and release it to shatter the statue. Backtrack, jump over the ladybug, and reach the upper platform. Perform a charged spin attack to uncover the portal.
3. Go-Go Archipelago:
After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his embedded claw. A glowing area nearby indicates a spot for a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to access a hidden chamber containing the portal.
4. Downsize Surprise:
Towards the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to initiate bubble production. Shrink, ride a bubble, and transfer to another bubble to reach a branch above a bot. Navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.
5. Free Big Brother!:
Immediately upon starting the level, turn around. You'll see platforms and an electric enemy. Lure the enemy to electrocute the platforms, revealing the portal behind.
6. Bathhouse Battle:
Locate the house with a flaming chimney. After acquiring water, ascend to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend through the chimney to find the portal.
7. Hieiroglitch Pyramid:
At the level's conclusion, turn right to an area with falling jewels. A bounce pad leads to a hidden area with a portal. Activate a trap and locate two hidden switches to open the pathway.
8. Balloon Breeze:
Obtain the pufferfish power-up. Backtrack to an early area with a distant platform and a ladybug enemy. Use the ladybug to reach the floating area, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Cut down bamboo to reveal and activate the portal.
9. Djinny of the Lamp:
After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Invisible platforms are indicated by glowing ground. Hover to each platform, then use the rug to reach the final platform containing the portal.
10. Frozen Meal:
Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside, where the final portal awaits.
