Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has revealed the spooky details, and there's even a Part 2 to look forward to. Get ready for exciting features and chilling Pokémon encounters.
The event starts Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
What Spooky Fun Awaits?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko shifts between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel - Electric-type, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel - Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost) mid-battle, depending on its Charged Attack.
During the event, you'll have increased chances of encountering Morpeko in GO Battle League's premium track. After the event, it will remain available from Rank 16 onwards, though more frequent on the premium track.
A Spooktacular Halloween in Pokémon GO!
Expect a festive Halloween atmosphere with special decorations. Fans of the Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly throughout the event.
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research event, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
