Apex Legends Announces First Offline Tournament in Asia
Apex ALGS Year 4 Championships to be Held in Sapporo, Japan from Jan.29 to Feb. 2, 2025
The Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 Championships is set to take place in the vibrant city of Sapporo, Japan, at the prestigious Daiwa House PREMIST DOME from January 29, 2025, to February 2, 2025. This event will see 40 teams of top-tier players compete to claim the title of champion in Apex Legends' renowned global esports tournament series.This marks a historic moment as it will be the first ALGS offline tournament to be held in Asia, following previous events in the US, UK, Sweden, and Germany. "This year will be extra special as we are hosting our first LAN event in APAC," EA stated in their announcement.
"ALGS has a very large community in Japan, and we have seen many comments calling for an offline event in Japan," said John Nelson, EA's Senior Director of Esports. "We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with an offline tournament at the iconic Daiwa House Premist Dome."
Details on tournament logistics and ticketing for Apex's inaugural offline ALGS event in Asia will be shared in upcoming announcements. "We are extremely honored that the Daiwa House Premist Dome has been selected as the venue for this global e-sports tournament," stated Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto. "The entire city of Sapporo is excited to support the tournament and warmly welcome all athletes, officials, and fans."
As the ALGS Year 4 Championships in Sapporo approaches, fans should mark their calendars for the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), scheduled from September 13 to 15, 2024.
