Jason Sudeikis has officially confirmed that Ted Lasso Season 4 is in development. The Saturday Night Live veteran and series producer shared this exciting news during an appearance on the New Heights sports podcast hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce. A clip from their latest episode captures the memorable moment when the Kelce brothers pressed Sudeikis for details about the show's future following Season 3's conclusion in mid-2023.
"We're currently writing Season 4," Sudeikis revealed. "That's the official confirmation – Ted will be coaching a women's team this time."

This marks the first substantial update about the beloved series in nearly two years, offering hope to fans eager for more heartwarming soccer stories. While Sudeikis confirmed the new season, he remained coy about whether this would conclude the series or where the storyline might take place. Even Travis Kelce couldn't extract details about whether Coach Lasso would return to American soil.
"That's too many questions, mainly because I don't have those answers yet," Sudeikis joked during the interview.
Industry reports indicate Juno Temple (Keeley) is finalizing negotiations to return, joining confirmed cast members Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie). Sources suggest production will reportedly begin in Kansas City this July before moving back to the UK.
Apple TV+ has already started building anticipation for Ted Lasso's comeback. While official plot details remain under wraps, the show's official Twitter account recently resurfaced with humorous nod to its lengthy hiatus:
