Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
The developers faced a barrage of online attacks, with attempts to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discredit the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to trust the developers and avoid spreading misinformation found online.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's "gold master" status achieved in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on portions of the review build, are anticipated a week after the initial code distribution.
