KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service in January 2025
The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, developed by Sesisoft, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025, marking the end of nearly five years of service for both its global and Japanese servers. While this signifies the game's end, developers have hinted at a potential offline version preserving the main storyline, key quests, and events, allowing players to retain cherished memories. Further details regarding this offline version are pending.
In-App Purchases and Refunds
All in-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025. Players who are eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 can submit refund requests until January 30th, 2025. Acquired Quartz and in-game items remain usable until the service's termination.
A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days
Initially launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game adaptation of the KonoSuba franchise. The game featured a charming narrative set in a world under threat from the Devil King's army, boasting appealing visuals and a visual novel-style story mode.
Despite its positive aspects, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days ultimately succumbed to the challenges faced by many gacha RPGs. Rising production costs and dwindling player engagement contributed to the decision to shut down the game, mirroring the fate of numerous other anime-based mobile games this year.
Players who haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days still have a few months to explore this title before its servers go offline. The game is available on the Google Play Store.
