Lazarus has brought together some of the most renowned names not just from the world of anime but across all of entertainment. This completely original sci-fi series is spearheaded by Shinichirō Watanabe, the creative genius behind Cowboy Bebop. However, critic Ryan Guar notes that Lazarus is far from a revival of Cowboy Bebop. The animation is led by the acclaimed studio MAPPA (Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen) alongside Sola Entertainment (Tower of God), while the action sequences are crafted by Chad Stahelski, the director behind the John Wick films.
With such high anticipation and a touch of mystery, it’s no surprise that Adult Swim picked up the series to air new episodes simultaneously in the U.S. and Japan. If you’re curious about how to watch new episodes of Lazarus online, keep reading.

What Is Lazarus About?
Uniquely original, Lazarus draws no inspiration from manga, leaving viewers to experience the story unfold entirely through the anime format. Here’s the official synopsis from the Lazarus website:
The year is 2052—a period of unprecedented global peace and prosperity. This is thanks to a revolutionary cure-all drug named Hapuna, developed by Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner.
Three years later, the world has adapted to this new reality. However, Dr. Skinner returns—not as a savior, but as a harbinger of doom. He reveals that Hapuna has a fatal flaw: anyone who takes it will die within three years. Humanity is running out of time.
To counter this threat, a special international task force of five agents is assembled. Known as "Lazarus," this team must stop Dr. Skinner and develop a vaccine before it’s too late.
