No Man's Sky Solanium: Gathering, Farming, and Crafting Guide
Finding Solanium in No Man's Sky requires venturing to specific planetary climates. This guide details how to locate, cultivate, and craft this valuable resource.
Locating Solanium:
Solanium, akin to Frost Crystals but found on scorching planets, is identifiable via your starship scanner. Target planets displaying "Arid," "Incandescent," "Boiling," or "Scorched" in their descriptions. These planets usually list Solanium as a resource. Upon landing, utilize your Analysis Visor to pinpoint Solar Vines – tall, glowing rock-like plants. A Haz-Mat Gauntlet is necessary for harvesting. Phosphorus, often found on these planets, is a crucial component for crafting Solanium.
Farming Solanium:
Progressing the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission unlocks the ability to farm Solar Vines. Utilize Hydroponic Trays or Bio-Domes, planting Solar Vines with 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. Hot planets allow direct ground planting. Harvesting occurs after approximately 16 real-time hours.
Crafting Solanium:
The Refiner offers several Solanium crafting recipes, primarily utilizing Phosphorus (often obtained from hot planets or Galactic Trade Terminals). Recipes include:
- Solanium + Phosphorus (to create more Solanium)
- Phosphorus + Oxygen
- Phosphorus + Sulphurine
- Di-hydrogen + Sulphurine
Note: Most recipes, including those requiring Sulphurine, necessitate visiting a hot planet. Establishing a Phosphorus farm at your base ensures a consistent Sulphurine supply.
