The Switch 2 Super Mario Kart World Bundle

Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle
0$499.99 at Best Buy
Choosing the Switch 2 bundle that includes Super Mario Kart World saves you $30 compared to buying both items separately. Please be aware that the console bundle includes a digital copy of the game, meaning you won't receive a physical cartridge or box. If owning a physical copy is worth the additional $30, feel free to proceed with your preorder.
Yes, the MSRP Is $79.99
When purchased separately, the game carries a $79.99 price tag, which is $10 higher than the standard cost for major AAA PlayStation and Xbox titles this generation. While it's not ideal to see game prices rise between console cycles, it’s understandable given the increasing development costs. I remain optimistic that the expansive scope of Mario Kart World will justify the premium.
What Is Mario Kart World?
Mario Kart World is positioned as the most ambitious entry in the franchise to date. Designed as a cohesive open world, similar to the Forza Horizon series, it even allows players in Grand Prix mode to seamlessly drive from the finish line of one race directly to the starting grid of the next.
The racetracks in Mario Kart World are dynamic, influenced by weather and time-of-day cycles that can change visibility and traction. As confirmed by Nintendo, players are free to leave the designated track at any time and explore virtually any part of the world. Each race supports 24 drivers, the largest number in the series' history.
A new mode, Knockout Tour, challenges players to race across the vast open world. Strategic checkpoints along the route display required placement positions; falling below the specified rank upon reaching a checkpoint results in elimination.
For a more relaxed experience, Free Roam mode lets you traverse the entire world at your leisure. You can join friends for a casual cruise and capture memorable photos during your journey.
Further details about Mario Kart World will be revealed in a Nintendo Direct on April 17. In the meantime, check out our hands-on preview for more insights.
