Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a ranking system. This guide explains the competitive rank reset mechanics.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I means starting the next at Gold II. If you finish in Bronze III, you remain at Bronze III for the next season, as it's the lowest rank.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, for instance, commenced on January 10th, indicating the reset would occur at that time.
All Competitive Ranks
Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through ranks is achieved by earning points; every 100 points advances you to the next tier. The ranks are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, you can continue earning points for Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.
Season Length
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time to climb the ranks.
