Use Flash Pod
Despite its massive size, Doshaguma boasts impressive agility, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena. This makes it a challenging target, particularly for melee weapon users. To gain the upper hand, utilize a Flash Pod to temporarily blind the beast. This brief window allows you to launch an offensive or even mount the monster for a strategic attack.
Attack the Legs
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is your best bet for dealing substantial damage. The forelegs are particularly vulnerable, with a 3-star weakness rating. The back legs, while less effective with a 2-star rating, are still viable. Don't overlook the head, which also boasts a 3-star weakness. If you're aiming for additional parts, consider striking the tail; breaking it can yield valuable resources.
Use Fire and Lightning
To maximize your damage output against Doshaguma, arm yourself with fire and lightning-based attacks. Bowgun users should load up with Flaming and Thunder ammo. Enhance your weapons with decorations that boost fire skills for an added edge. When using fire, focus your attacks on the head and torso. For lightning, concentrate your strikes on the head.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma isn't just a brute force; it can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status effect that can lead to an explosion if not addressed. Keep Nulberries or Deodorants handy to neutralize this threat. Alternatively, dodge-roll up to three times to shake off the ailment before it detonates.
Use Traps
While the urge to pummel Doshaguma into submission is strong, don't ignore the environment. The areas where Doshaguma roams often feature natural traps that can be leveraged to your advantage. Remember to sheath your weapon before deploying your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly beneath the trap before activating it.

How to Capture Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds

Beyond slaying Doshaguma, you have the option to capture it alive. To do so, weaken the monster until its HP drops to 20% or lower. Once it's on the brink, set up a Shock or Pitfall Trap in its path. Lure the beast into the trap using Luring Ammo or by laying down meat as bait. Once trapped, swiftly administer tranquilizers, possibly multiple, to ensure the monster falls asleep and can be captured.
With these strategies, you're well-equipped to tackle the Alpha Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Don't forget to fortify yourself with a hearty meal before the hunt to gain beneficial food buffs.
