Monopoly Unveils Valentine

With Valentine’s Day approaching, Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro are set to enhance your gaming experience with a special update for Monopoly on Android and iOS. Dive into the celebration of love with a range of exciting, limited-time features in your favorite digital board game.

Monopoly’s Valentine’s Day event introduces a unique quiz that matches you with one of four special tokens, each symbolizing a different form of love. Upon matching, you get to try out your new token for free for 24 hours. If you decide you want to keep it, you can purchase it at a discounted rate post-trial.

The update also brings a revamped set of House Rules to speed up the gameplay. With Quick Hotels, you can now build a hotel after just three houses instead of the usual four. The Quick End rule allows the game to conclude after the first player goes bankrupt. Additionally, Quick Jail lets you leave jail on your first turn, and Starting Title Deeds gives every player three random properties right from the start. To keep the game moving briskly, you'll skip over tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces.

Enhancing the festive spirit, a new set of Cupid-inspired tokens are up for grabs. Also, the Sweethearts bundle introduces two cherubic figures ready to grace your Monopoly board this Valentine’s Day.

Radu Rovin, Head of Studio at Marmalade Game Studio, shared his thoughts on the update: “We wanted to put together an event that showcases different types of love this Valentine’s Day. From friendships forged across the Monopoly board to a little self-care day playing your favourite game, we’re helping our players celebrate it all.”
