Netflix's "The Rise of the Golden Idol" is releasing its first DLC, "The Sins of New Wells," on mobile. Launching on March 4th, the expansion will also be available on PC and consoles. For mobile users, it's entirely free as part of Netflix Gaming.

What to Expect

Prepare for more mystery, crime, and Lemurian magic. New Wells reaches new heights in urban turmoil. Homicide detective Roy Samson gets reassigned to the 9th District, a place where justice has vanished.

Corruption runs rampant, and crime is the standard way of life. Teaming up with his new partner Cliff Savea, Roy uncovers a string of vicious crimes, only to discover they've stumbled upon something far more sinister.

The Sins of New Wells introduces four completely new cases. Each presents a complex web of crime, deception, and intrigue. You'll untangle Following Orders, Trouble Unleashed, The Raid, and Unraveling, determining who's lying, who's hiding secrets (spoiler: everyone), and how everything connects.

To crack these cases, you'll question largely dishonest witnesses and solve intricate puzzles. But be warned—a certain madness has taken hold of New Wells.

Netflix Subscriber Benefits

The Sins of New Wells, the first DLC for Rise of the Golden Idol, launches for mobile players at 9 AM PT or 5 PM GMT. Color Gray Games has confirmed this is just the beginning of additional cases arriving in 2025, with at least four DLCs planned for the game.

The Rise of the Golden Idol has firmly established itself as a premier modern detective game. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can download the game free from the Google Play Store.
