When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?
The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time** and wraps up on **March 30 at 8 PM local time**. That's a solid five-day stretch to catch all those bug-type Pokemon that would make Misty squirm. It's also an excellent period for Shiny hunting, as nearly all featured Pokemon have a Shiny variant in *Pokemon GO*.

New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event
Two new Pokemon are set to debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event: Sizzlipede and Centiskorch. Evolving Sizzlipede into Centiskorch will require 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Timed Research
By spinning PokeStops, you'll unlock event-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these can reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokemon.
Timed Research offers rewards like a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokemon, while the Paid Timed Research includes a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and more encounters with event Pokemon. Both types of research must be completed, and rewards claimed before the event concludes.

New bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop starting with the Bug Out event. These include:
