Pokemon Go’s first Community Day of 2025 will feature Sprigaito

The first Pokémon Go Community Day of 2025 is set for January 5th, featuring the Grass Cat Pokémon, Sprigatito! From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Sprigatito will appear much more frequently.

This Sprigatito Community Day offers a fantastic opportunity to catch plenty of Sprigatito. Evolving your Sprigatito into Floragato, and then into Meowscarada, during the event (or within five hours afterward) will teach it the powerful Charged Attack, Frenzy Plant. It will also permanently learn Flower Trick.

Several bonuses amplify the Community Day experience: triple Stardust, double Candy for every catch, and double the chance of getting Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and above. Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event last three hours, and trades cost half the usual Stardust, with an extra Special Trade available.

For an extra challenge, a paid Special Research ($2) provides exclusive rewards, including a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and more Sprigatito encounters. A free Timed Research task continues the fun for a week post-Community Day, rewarding a Sprigatito with a Dual Destiny-themed background.
