Project ETHOS: A Roguelike Hero Shooter Revolution
2K Games and 31st Union present Project ETHOS, a free-to-play experience aiming to redefine the hero shooter genre. The game masterfully combines the dynamic progression of roguelikes with the strategic depth of hero-based combat, all within a thrilling third-person perspective.
What distinguishes Project ETHOS? It seamlessly integrates the unpredictable nature of roguelikes with unique hero abilities. Randomized "Evolutions" dramatically alter hero capabilities mid-match, forcing players to adapt and improvise. Transform your sniper into a close-quarters combatant or your support into a solo powerhouse – the possibilities are endless.
Project ETHOS features two core game modes:

Trials: This signature mode challenges teams of three in matches against both AI and human opponents. Collect cores, strategically choose your extraction point, and invest your earnings in upgrades for future runs. Death means losing your cores, adding a high-stakes element to each match. Join ongoing matches or wait for a new one; the match timer is visible before joining.

Gauntlet: A classic competitive PvP tournament mode. Battle through brackets, upgrading your hero with each victory, culminating in a final showdown. Elimination means waiting for the next round.
Join the Project ETHOS Playtest!
Project ETHOS embraces community feedback, regularly incorporating updates and improvements. The playtest, running from October 17th to 21st, is currently available to players in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Access is granted by watching participating Twitch streams for 30 minutes to receive a playtest key. Sign up on the official website for future playtest opportunities.

31st Union's Debut Title
Project ETHOS marks the first major release from 31st Union, led by Michael Condrey, co-founder of Sledgehammer Games and a veteran of the Call of Duty franchise. His experience is evident in the game's polished multiplayer design.
