The final day of the Six Invitational is always a highlight for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils exciting updates and new operators. This year, the spotlight was on Rauora, the latest addition to the attacking team, hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora brings a unique gadget to the game: the DOM launcher. This bulletproof shield, deployable exclusively in doorways, can withstand gunfire but is vulnerable to explosives. The shield features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by any player, but with a strategic twist: it takes only one second to open for attackers, whereas defenders must wait three seconds. This timing difference could prove pivotal, especially in tense scenarios involving a planted defuser.

Alongside her innovative gadget, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2 to the Rainbow Six Siege arsenal. This fully automatic pistol comes equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine, offering players a new tactical option. For her primary weapons, Rauora can choose between the powerful M249 LMG or the precise 417 marksman rifle.
Fans eager to try out Rauora can access her on the test servers starting next week. However, it will be a bit longer before she becomes available in the live version of the game.
