Rockstar Releases Anniversary Update for Bully After Six Years

Rockstar Games, the creators of the iconic GTA series, has recently surprised fans by releasing an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms. After a six-year hiatus, this update marks a welcome return to the beloved game, though it's exclusively available for mobile devices, leaving console and PC players waiting patiently.

Rockstar Revamps the Classic

The Bully: Anniversary Edition update brings a host of improvements, focusing primarily on stability, bug fixes, and language updates. For now, Rockstar has temporarily paused Friends Challenges. However, Android users can enjoy the addition of Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), while both platforms feature an updated app icon and haptic feedback.

Several long-standing issues have been addressed, such as the infamous ‘That Bitch’ mission where Mandy’s locker couldn’t be picked, and the glitch in ‘Weed Killer’ where breaking the window prematurely halted progress. Additionally, police cars in ‘The Rumble’ no longer fall through the floor, and enemies now properly engage with Jimmy, ensuring more balanced and enjoyable combat.

Crashes occurring during new game starts or pause menu saves have also been resolved, providing a smoother overall experience.

Fan Reactions and Expectations

While players eagerly await a sequel to Bully, Rockstar seems focused elsewhere, with GTA 6 currently in development. Many of the original Bully team members have moved on, making a follow-up unlikely anytime soon. Instead, this Anniversary Edition serves as a solid enhancement for mobile gamers.

Bully follows the story of Jimmy Hopkins, a mischievous 15-year-old navigating life at Bullworth Academy. Known for its humor and open-world exploration, the game remains a fan favorite.

Ready to dive into the Anniversary Edition? Head over to the Google Play Store to purchase it for €7.99, complete with full gamepad support.
