Get ready for the return of the Roland-Garros eSeries in 2025! Following last year's thrilling competition, this year's tournament promises even more excitement with a brand-new team-based format, legendary tennis captains, and a €5,000 prize pool up for grabs. Returning sponsors Renault and Mastercard add further prestige, and players can even customize their characters with official Roland-Garros 2025 outfits and the special Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.
When Does It Start?
The Roland-Garros eSeries kicks off in March with open qualifiers. These qualifiers, crucial for securing a finals spot, take place in three stages: March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8. The top female players from the first two qualifiers automatically advance to the finals alongside the overall winners. The grand finale sees the finalists compete at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium on May 24th, live and streamed on Twitch.
What’s New This Year?
This year marks a significant change: a team-based format! Finalists will compete as part of teams, each captained by a French tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion, is already confirmed as a captain. He’ll be coaching one team, while his rival captain—a Grand Slam winner—remains a mystery for now. Simon, a commentator since 2023 and a 2024 Top 8 participant, brings a wealth of experience to the competition.
Are You Excited for the Roland-Garros eSeries 2025?
The competition will be fierce! The winning team from the initial phase advances to the winner's bracket of a double-elimination format, while the losing team enters the loser's bracket. Alessandro ΔLEX Bianco, the reigning champion, returns to defend his title, joined by the two Grand Tour finalists. With 548,000 participants from 215 territories last year, expect an even more intense battle this year.
