Zenless Zone Zero: Upcoming Updates and Extended Patch Cycle
New leaks suggest a longer-than-anticipated patch cycle for the popular RPG, Zenless Zone Zero. The current cycle is reportedly slated to conclude with Version 1.7, followed by the launch of Version 2.0. This contradicts the pattern established by other HoYoverse titles, such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, which concluded their initial cycles with Version 1.6.
This extended cycle, potentially ending with Version 2.8 before transitioning to Version 3.0, hints at a significant amount of future content. Adding to the excitement, a separate leak reveals plans for 31 additional characters, a substantial expansion to the current roster of 26 playable units.
Zenless Zone Zero's successful first year included a Game Awards nomination and a notable collaboration with McDonald's. The game's consistent updates, introducing new characters, areas, and features, have fueled its growing popularity.
The highly anticipated Version 1.5 update is just around the corner, bringing with it:
- A new main story chapter
- A new explorable area
- New in-game events
- The addition of two new S-Rank playable units: Astra Yao and Evelyn. Astra Yao is rumored to be a strong support character.
Players are encouraged to begin farming Astra Yao's materials in advance of her release.
Version 1.4, which introduced the powerful Hoshimi Miyabi, recently concluded. While initially met with some player concerns regarding potential censorship, these issues were swiftly addressed by the developers.
While Version 1.7 remains months away, the prospect of an extended patch cycle and a wealth of future content promises continued excitement for Zenless Zone Zero players.
