Old School RuneScape's Royal Titans Update: A Clash of Fire and Ice!
The latest Old School RuneScape update, Royal Titans, plunges players into a monumental conflict between fire and ice giants. Lead by Brandr, the Fire Queen, and Eldric, the King of Frost, respectively, these colossal forces clash in an epic PvM encounter. Were you anticipating this dual boss battle? Read on to discover the details.
Enter the Realm of the Royal Titans
The fire giants' territorial ambitions lead them to the Asgarnian Ice Cave, home to the ice giants. This invasion prompts Eldric to intervene, resulting in a spectacular showdown between the two legendary titans. Players engage in a unique dual boss fight against both Brandr and Eldric simultaneously.
Strategic adaptability is key. Switching equipment to exploit elemental weaknesses is crucial for success, as a single-minded approach will prove ineffective. This challenging encounter can be tackled solo or cooperatively with a friend.
Victory over the Royal Titans offers the chance to acquire the powerful Twinflame Staff and the Giantsoul Amulet. The Amulet, an untradeable teleport, provides instant access to three major giant bosses: Obor, Bryophyta, and the Royal Titans themselves.
Rewards and More!
The Royal Titans battle yields a plethora of rewards, including valuable Prayer Scrolls, Desiccated Pages, and a coveted Fire & Ice giant pet. For those seeking Slayer XP gains, a new Slayer Alternative Task has been introduced, allowing XP acquisition while battling the giants and the bosses.
Coinciding with the Royal Titans launch, Old School RuneScape celebrates its 12th anniversary on February 19th. Expect a special birthday livestream, in-game festivities, and exciting new cosmetic rewards.
