Sonic Rumble is making waves even before its global launch, with an exciting crossover event named Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars, running now until May 7th, just before the worldwide launch on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, the game is accessible in over 40 countries, having previously been released in regions like the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, Colombia, Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa during its pre-launch phases in Summer 2024.
What’s in Store?
If you’re in a region where Sonic Rumble has soft-launched, you can participate in the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, offering the Werewolf transformation for free. Fans of the classic beast modes can also acquire the Werebear and Weredragon, with the Weredragon included in the Premium Pass and the Werebear available for purchase with regular rings.
Fantasy Zone enthusiasts will be thrilled to see Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the fray. Opa-Opa is part of the Premium Pass, while Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments bought with standard rings, each costing 700 rings.
Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also rolled into the crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need 729 Red Star Rings. Check out the event in action in the video below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos during matches. While it may seem unusual for the event to occur before the global release, SEGA has assured players that most of these pre-release rewards will be available again post-launch.
The first crossover event of Sonic Rumble taps into SEGA's rich catalog, featuring characters from Altered Beast, Fantasy Zone, and Super Monkey Ball interacting with Sonic and his friends. This blend of nostalgia and new content makes Sonic Rumble an eagerly anticipated game.
You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store if you're in a soft-launch region, or wait for the full release on May 8th in your area.
