Remember Sonic Rumble? This upcoming Sonic game trades high-speed action for chaotic party fun in the style of Fall Guys. Following a May CBT, Sonic Rumble is now in its pre-launch phase.
Sonic Rumble's Phased Pre-Launch
SEGA has launched Phase 1 of Sonic Rumble's pre-launch in the Philippines on Android and iOS. This initial phase runs throughout the summer, after which all gameplay data will be reset.
Phase 2, launching in the fall, expands the pre-launch to Peru and Colombia. Phase 3 will add more regions, yet to be revealed.
Global pre-registration will follow, anticipated by the end of the year or early next year. The recent success of Fall Guys likely spurred SEGA to accelerate Sonic Rumble's rollout.
Gameplay Details
Sonic Rumble features mini-games packed with quirky obstacles and challenges, playable solo or with friends.
However, Sonic Rumble adds a unique twist. Instead of a simple race to the finish, classic Sonic villains like Dr. Eggman appear to disrupt the action.
