Hazelight's beloved co-op adventure, Split Fiction, has achieved a remarkable milestone by selling nearly four million copies. Publisher EA highlighted this achievement in their recent financial report, describing the game's launch as "hugely successful" and crediting it as a key factor in their strong performance at the end of the 2025 fiscal year.

In an enthusiastic social media post, Hazelight celebrated the news, exclaiming, "4 MILLION SOLD!!!!" They expressed gratitude towards the fans, noting, "So many of you have picked up Split Fiction already, it's amazing… Seeing the fun you have with our game and the love you show for Mio, Zoe, and each other warms our hearts here at Hazelight. And so many hot dogs made…"

Play**Split Fiction** immerses players into the diverse worlds crafted by two fiction writers, offering a groundbreaking co-op experience where two players can enjoy the game even if only one owns it. Launched in March, the game quickly became a hit, selling over two million copies within its first week. It's also set to be a launch title for the **Nintendo Switch 2**, as Hazelight begins development on their next project.

Furthermore, a movie adaptation of Split Fiction is in the works, with Story Kitchen, the studio behind the Sonic films, currently assembling a team of writers, a director, and a cast that will feature Sydney Sweeney.

Our review at IGN praised Split Fiction as "an expertly crafted and absorbing co-op adventure that pinballs from one genre extreme to another," describing it as "a rollercoaster of gameplay ideas and styles that are usually discarded as quickly as they're introduced. This keeps it fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration."
