Spotify Experiences Outage: Users Report Issues

Heads up: If you're a fan of the music streaming service Spotify, you might have noticed some trouble this morning. Reports from Downdetector, a site dedicated to tracking service outages, indicate that Spotify issues started cropping up around 6 a.m. PT today. The influx of outage reports has continued throughout the morning, and we at IGN experienced our own difficulties accessing the service. Even when we managed to get the app to open, it stubbornly refused to play any music.

Spotify has officially acknowledged the problem and is actively working on a solution. They've issued a statement via their official Spotify Status Twitter account, reassuring users that they are doing everything they can to get the service back up and running swiftly. They've also debunked any rumors suggesting that the outage is due to a security breach, confirming that no such hack has occurred.
