Lucasfilm has officially announced Star Wars: Starfighter, a new film directed by Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine) starring Ryan Gosling, scheduled for theatrical release on May 28, 2027. The story unfolds five years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The announcement was made at Star Wars Celebration, with production confirmed to begin this fall.
