George Miller has helmed five Mad Max films, including the recent Furiosa. Currently, only the original 1979 film and the latest installment are available for streaming. Interestingly, both can be found on HBO Max.
For other films in the franchise, you'll need to rely on PVOD platforms like Prime Video. High-quality Blu-ray collections are also available, as listed below.

How to Watch the Mad Max Movies in Order
The suggested chronological viewing order is:
- Mad Max
- Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
- Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
- Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
- Mad Max: Fury Road
However, Furiosa works best when viewed after Fury Road, as many of its narrative payoffs rely on familiarity with characters from the 2015 film.
Future of Mad Max
George Miller previously indicated the franchise's future depended on Furiosa's performance. While the prequel underperformed commercially, reports suggest Miller has another Mad Max script ready - potentially The Wasteland, a rumored Fury Road sequel. However, with other projects in development and the substantial budgets these films require, fans may need to wait for new entries.
