The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11. While the world's best players are set, let's analyze their character choices, offering a glimpse into Street Fighter 6's competitive landscape.
EventHubs compiled statistics on the most frequently used characters at the highest level of play. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, yet the data, derived from nearly 200 players across 24 regional qualifiers (including eight finalists), revealed a surprising lack of diversity. Only one player opted for Ryu, and even newcomer Terry Bogard only attracted two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each selected as a main character by 17 players. A significant gap follows, with Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each) forming the next tier. Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each selected by seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 takes place this March in Tokyo, with a $1 million prize awaiting the champion.
