Subway Surfers' City Secretly Launches on iOS and Android

Author : Connor Feb 10,2025

Sybo Games has quietly released a new mobile title, Subway Surfers City, on iOS and Android. This soft launch currently targets select regions, offering players a sneak peek at the enhanced sequel.

The game promises improved graphics and incorporates many features added to the original Subway Surfers over its extensive lifespan. Expect familiar characters alongside newer additions like hoverboards.

A Bold Move: A Subway Surfers Sequel

Sybo's decision to create a direct sequel to their flagship title is a significant gamble. The original game, while immensely popular, shows its age due to the limitations of its Unity engine. This soft launch approach allows for testing and feedback before a wider release. The stealth launch is particularly noteworthy given Subway Surfers' global prominence.

Currently, iOS users in the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines can access Subway Surfers City. Android users in Denmark and the Philippines also have early access.

The community's response to Subway Surfers City will be crucial. We eagerly anticipate its full release and whether it meets the high expectations set by its predecessor. For those without access, exploring other top mobile games of 2024 is a worthwhile alternative.
