Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show Adaptation

Ubisoft officially announced to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver adaptation. Initially slated for exclusive streaming on Binge.com in 2021, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader strategy to expand its game franchises into other media. The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a Ubisoft subsidiary involved in film projects, in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson stated that the partnership with Binge for the Driver series is no longer active.

However, Ubisoft assures fans that development continues on other Driver projects. The company is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and promises future announcements. Specific details remain undisclosed. Stay tuned for further updates on the future of the Driver franchise!
