Personally, I'm captivated by Squirtle (148/142) – its mischievous charm perfectly embodies a classic Gen I Pokémon card.

I’m particularly fond of the Special Illustration Rare Pecharunt ex (093/064). It's one of the best Legendary promo cards in recent memory, and the Pecharunt deck is exceptionally fun to play. I also anticipate Persian (078/064) becoming a sleeper hit among collectors, given its stunning Gen I artwork – a style known for its enduring appeal in the Pokémon TCG market.

History consistently shows that Charizard-heavy sets are worthwhile investments before prices skyrocket.
However, my personal favourite is Ninetales (Illustration Rare, 190/197). Its artwork is simply breathtaking – arguably the finest Ninetales card ever produced. While the Charizard factor alone justifies purchasing these blisters, Obsidian Flames offers much more than just fire-breathing lizards.

Demand will only intensify, with no guarantee of another Shiny Pikachu release.
Beyond Pikachu, Shiny Gardevoir ex (233/091) is visually stunning and highly playable. Gen I fans will appreciate Charmander (109/091) and Charmeleon (110/091), key components of a strong Charizard deck in the current Standard format. Their value is likely to increase significantly in the future.
