Get ready for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Black and White Kyurem and Shiny Meloetta are making their debut. This guide explains how to catch and fuse Kyurem.
Kyurem's Dual Forms Arrive
Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic has confirmed the arrival of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta to the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, running February 21-23, 2025 in New Taipei City and Los Angeles. Participants can capture and fuse Kyurem into its alternate forms. Base Kyurem is obtained by defeating Black or White Kyurem in five-star raids.

Fusion requires:
- Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy (learns Freeze Shock)
- White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy (learns Ice Burn)
Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reverting Kyurem to its base form is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom have increased encounter rates during the event.
A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs March 1-2, 2025 (no ticket required).

Shiny Meloetta debuts! In-person event attendees complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. The research doesn't expire.
Unova's Legendary Trio and More
Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White (Generation V). Kyurem's alternate forms, with their signature moves, were introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. This event offers a complete Unova Legendary experience.
