World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Get ready for a nostalgic journey through WoW's history, with opportunities to earn exciting new rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and enjoy a significant experience boost.
This expanded event builds upon the popular five-week run from September 2023. Players once again have the chance to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons. This time, however, the rewards are even more enticing.
The Timewalking Tour:
The seven-week event cycles through various WoW expansions:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards and Achievements:
Complete the Mastery of Timeways buff for five out of the seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and claim the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount! Each expansion's Timewalking vendor boasts new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously unavailable, is making a return for those who missed it last time. And for an added bonus, the Cache of Nerubian Treasures now grants Heroic gear during the event.
Looking Ahead:
With the Turbulent Timeways concluding on February 24th, speculation points towards the release of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," on February 25th. This aligns with Blizzard's typical release schedule and follows the recent 20th-anniversary event and other in-game activities. World of Warcraft is certainly starting 2025 with a bang! Prepare for a non-stop adventure filled with Timewalking, Plunderstorm, and the upcoming War Within content update.
