Author : Mia Mar 27,2025

Hot off the heels of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo has released another exciting title today that reinvents the musou genre. Introducing Warriors: Abyss, a thrilling new roguelite that brings together the iconic characters from the Warriors series for an epic adventure. Revealed during today's PlayStation State of Play, this game allows you to assemble a squad and battle through endless waves of enemies with an isometric camera view, drawing inspiration from both Diablo and the acclaimed roguelite Hades.

In Warriors: Abyss, you'll lead your team through the depths of "hell," facing off against demonic foes. The game features beloved characters from across the Warriors franchise, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sunshang Xiang. According to the PlayStation Blog, you can recruit and add these characters to your team over time, enhancing your combat capabilities with additional summoning actions. At launch, players can utilize up to seven active heroes in battle, with a roster of 100 warriors available.

Koei Tecmo has plans to expand the character lineup post-launch, starting with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. The developer has hinted at even more exciting waves of characters, potentially including figures from outside the Warriors series.

Warriors: Abyss is available today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will also be coming to Nintendo Switch on February 13, 2025. For those eager to enhance their gameplay experience, the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set is available for a limited time until March 14, 2025.
