The Last Knight is a charming side quest enriching the Rinascita region in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves. While not as grand as the main storyline or expansive exploration quests, it offers a captivating glimpse into life beyond Ragna City, alongside rewarding completion bonuses. This quest is significantly less complex than, say, "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms," requiring less time and effort. This walkthrough provides a convenient guide for those seeking assistance.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To begin, complete Chapter 2 of the main storyline, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We strongly recommend finishing the main questline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until Chapter 2, Act 3 is completed.

Once finished, travel to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven and locate Cosimo. He's near the first house along the main road leading out of town, marked by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries is a performance dedicated to a legendary knight. This quest involves defeating the Mad Knight (among other tasks).

The Mad Knight only appears at night. Adjust the in-game time to between 6 PM and 6 AM, then proceed to the town's central pool. This enemy isn't particularly challenging; use your strongest attacks to defeat it.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, fly to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location, indicated by your quest marker. He'll be unconscious near a large purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a new area where you must identify the genuine chest among mimics.

The first three chests are genuine. In the next set, only one is real. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left. Opening it rewards Astrites and other items. However, be prepared to fight the remaining mimic chests afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After leaving the mimic chest area, you'll be tasked with visiting two locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight. This involves following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

Following your conversation with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will mention a strange scent. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot is highly recommended, as it allows you to parry attacks and stun the Chop Chop.

After defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals the truth: there was no legendary knight; he and other Windmill Keepers played the role. This revelation causes Carlow to flee.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. He'll be confronted by knights who ridicule him. However, Carlow defies them, challenges one to a duel, and sheds his idealized fantasy, embracing the true meaning of protection.

The quest concludes after Carlow's challenge. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and resources. The Last Knight quest will be marked as complete in the Tales of the Isles event.
