Microsoft has announced the next Xbox Developer Direct, scheduled for January 23rd, marking the first Xbox game showcase of 2025 and the third installment of this annual event. Following the successful 2023 and 2024 showcases, this latest edition promises a look at highly anticipated titles.
The event, rumored earlier in January, is officially confirmed for January 23rd at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, airing on YouTube and Twitch.
Confirmed Games for Xbox Developer Direct 2025:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, targeting a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
- Doom: The Dark Ages: From id Software, this game was initially revealed in June 2024 and showcased at QuakeCon 2024. A mid-2025 launch is currently speculated.
- South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game developed by Compulsion Games (Contrast, We Happy Few), initially announced in June 2023. A release date is expected.
While these three titles are confirmed, past Developer Directs have exceeded 40 minutes and featured multiple games.
