HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing its previous high set at launch in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes, all driving increased player spending.
The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this record revenue.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond typical patterns. While spending usually declines sharply a week post-update, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day after two weeks.
Despite this considerable achievement, Zenless Zone Zero still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
