Carplounge Autopilot: Revolutionizing BaitBoat Control with Your Android Device
Forget traditional BaitBoat remotes! The Carplounge Autopilot utilizes your Android tablet or phone for effortless control. Download the free app from the Google Play Store and connect to your boat via Bluetooth using a transmitter box. Intuitive touchscreen controls provide full manual steering capabilities, mirroring the functionality of a standard remote.
Real-time tracking is displayed on an integrated map, showing boat position, route, and orientation (including a compass!). Utilize the built-in GPS to save and label promising fishing spots (e.g., "jetty left," "spot 1," "home") identified via your echo sounder.
Autopilot mode allows you to create sophisticated routes by linking saved points and assigning actions at each point (opening hoppers, releasing bait, activating lights, etc.). For example, program your boat to: 1) navigate to "Sandbank" and open the right hopper; 2) proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hopper; 3) return to your fishing location and flash the lights once. The boat will automatically execute this sequence. An almost limitless number of spots and routes can be saved.
Precision is paramount. Advanced sensors (position, acceleration), combined with cutting-edge GPS and compass technology, ensure highly accurate route guidance—achieving less than 30cm accuracy in 90% of cases! Intelligent line tension management prevents line tangles, even when deploying two rods simultaneously to different locations. The system detects line tension and adjusts the boat's course accordingly.
While the autopilot replaces the standard remote, you can still connect a remote control if preferred, offering flexible control options. The app is optimized for 10-inch tablets but works with any Bluetooth-enabled Android tablet.
The app undergoes continuous development and improvement via automatic updates through the Google Play Store. New features, bug fixes, and enhancements are seamlessly integrated without requiring you to send your autopilot or boat for service.
