Hez2 is a captivating card game deeply rooted in Moroccan culture, perfect for family entertainment right in your living room. This classic Moroccan card game supports up to four players, allowing you to enjoy a game against one, two, or three opponents. Hez2 is a turn-based game where your goal is to discard all the cards in your hand. During your turn, you can play a card that matches either the color/suit or the number/rank of the card previously played on the table. If you don't have a playable card, you must draw from the deck. Even if you have a valid card, you may choose to retain it and draw from the stack instead.
The objective of Hez2 is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. The game features several special cards that add an exciting twist to the gameplay:
- 2: When a player throws a Two (of any suit), the next player must pick up two cards from the stack. If the next player also has a Two, they can either play it, causing the following player to pick up four cards, or withhold it for future use and pick up two cards themselves. This chain reaction continues until a player without a Two picks up the total number of cards corresponding to the Twos played.
- 7: A player who throws a Seven (of any suit) has the power to change the suit/color of the next card to be played.
- 10: When a player throws a Ten (of any suit), they must play again. If the Ten is their last card, they must draw a card from the stack before ending their turn.
- 12: This card is not applicable in games with only two players. In games with three or four players, playing a Twelve (of any suit) skips the next player's turn.
The game concludes when a player successfully discards their last card. However, if the last card played is a Two or a Ten, special rules apply. Hez2 is played with a 40-card deck, divided into four suits: 10 Copas (Tbaye9), 10 Espadas (Syouf), 10 Oros (D'hab), and 10 Bastos (Zrawéte), with cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12 in each suit.
Hez2 is fun for everyone! Enjoy playing Hez2.
