Leaked Assassin's Creed Shadows Artbook Surfaces Online
An artbook titled "The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows" has leaked online, generating significant buzz among fans. The leak, initially spotted on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, contains hundreds of pages of concept art, quotes, and development information for the upcoming Assassin's Creed title. Intriguingly, the Reddit post claims the leak originated from a hentai website, a detail that has added an unusual layer to the story. Ubisoft has been contacted for comment by IGN.
While the original source has removed the gallery, archived versions are circulating across various file-sharing platforms.
The leaked art showcases concepts for renowned historical figures, major cities, and a diverse range of weaponry. The images also appear to reveal potential plot spoilers for Assassin's Creed Shadows, although confirmation will have to wait until the game's release.
The leak comes shortly before the game's revised launch date of March 20, 2025, following a delay from its initial 2024 release window. IGN's recent preview event included an interview with game director Charles Benoit, who explained the delay was primarily focused on polishing the game. While some minor adjustments were made to progression and balancing, the most significant changes involved the parkour system.
Benoit highlighted the challenges posed by the intricate architecture of Feudal Japan: "The Japanese architecture, the roofs [are] super complex," he stated. "We needed specific codes and specific animations to support something super fluid, changing the transition of the parkour to make it even more fluid."
