Concord: A Hero Shooter Roadmap and Gameplay Tips

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Sony and Firewalk Studios have unveiled Concord's post-launch content roadmap, detailing updates planned for the PS5 and PC hero shooter launching August 23rd. This follows a successful open beta. The developers emphasize a commitment to ongoing support and growth alongside the player community.

No Battle Pass Required

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Unlike many competitors, Concord eschews a traditional battle pass system. Firewalk Studios prioritizes a rewarding base experience, with meaningful rewards earned through gameplay, character leveling, and objective completion.

Season 1: The Tempest (October 2024)

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Season 1, titled "The Tempest," introduces a new Freegunner character, a fresh map, additional Freegunner variants, and a range of cosmetic items. Weekly cinematic vignettes will enrich the Northstar crew storyline. An in-game store will also debut, offering purely cosmetic items that won't affect gameplay balance.

Season 2 and Beyond

Season 2 is scheduled for January 2025, signifying Firewalk's dedication to consistent seasonal content releases throughout Concord's first year.

Gameplay Strategies and Crew Building

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Concord's "Crew Builder" system allows for team customization. While players can select five Freegunners, up to three variants of the same Freegunner are permitted. This fosters strategic team composition based on playstyle and match dynamics. The six Freegunner roles (Anchor, Breacher, Haunt, Ranger, Tactician, and Warden) encourage diverse team setups, unlocking Crew Bonuses that enhance mobility, weapon handling, and more. Unlike traditional "Tank" or "Support" roles, Concord Freegunners are designed for high damage output and direct combat effectiveness.
