FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam based on initial player reviews. The game's unique selling point is its innovative use of fragment-cards. These dynamically alter gameplay mid-match, creating unpredictable and diverse battles. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting each other, and adding a strategic layer to the core FPS experience.
Players can select from 13 distinct launchers, each possessing unique abilities, catering to both collaborative and solo playstyles. FragPunk emphasizes individual skill within online matches.
However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced a delay for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Originally scheduled for March 6th, the console release was postponed two days prior due to unforeseen technical difficulties. A new release date is yet to be confirmed, but the developers assure players of ongoing updates.
