Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 For Whom the Bell Tolls Walkthrough

The quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" begins immediately after "Wedding Crashers." Imprisoned in Trosky, Hans faces execution once the bell tolls 12 times. Fortunately, Henry is assigned to labor around the castle instead, giving him a chance to save Hans.

Hauling Sacks

Your first task is to haul sacks to a shed. This is a mandatory step. Grab a sack from the wagon and carry it to the shed near the fenced area. Drop the sack inside and repeat the process until the objective is complete.

Help the Blacksmith

Next, you'll assist the blacksmith, who reluctantly tasks you with crafting a horseshoe. Head through the archway opposite the blacksmith to reach the forge. Gather the necessary materials and craft the horseshoe. Once it's approved, take it to the stables down the path where you hauled the sacks.

Help Fanka the Cook

After delivering the horseshoe, it's time to aid Hans. Return to the forge and grab the lockpick from the red pot on the shelves. Then, speak with Fanka, the cook standing nearby. Offering to help her grants you access to the noble's kitchen.

Follow Fanka to the kitchen. While lockpicking isn't necessary, doing so boosts your reputation and allows you to obtain food whenever needed, which can be advantageous for the upcoming steps.

Speak with the Chamberlain

Upon entering the kitchen, you'll notice the chamberlain suffering. Converse with him and try to persuade him to let you brew a Digestive Potion. Success grants you access to the surgeon's workshop; otherwise, you'll need to sneak in.

Make Fever Tonicum

If you couldn't convince the chamberlain, take food from the kitchen to distract the guard at the non-noble kitchen entrance. Otherwise, you'll have direct access. Climb the stairs across from the forge to reach the non-noble kitchen, and if sneaking, give the food to the guard to make him leave.

Ascend the stairs to a hall with two doors. Enter the right door to access the surgeon's workshop. Craft the Fever Tonicum here, and if you persuaded the chamberlain, also make a Digestive Potion using the available ingredients in the chest.

Cure Thomas

If you're helping the chamberlain, return with the Digestive Potion to gain access to Thomas' room. If sneaking, take an alternative route through the noble's kitchen to avoid additional guards.

Crouch as you ascend the stairs from the noble's kitchen. Distract any guards with a pebble to sneak past them. Continue until you reach Thomas' room, where his sister Adele is caring for him. Give Adele the Fever Tonicum to trigger the concluding cutscene.
