Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players will recognize the acclaimed hunting action developed by Nine Rocks Games and originally released in August 2022.
Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?
While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay experience, including DLC, is planned for release post-launch. Currently in beta testing, THQ Nordic and HandyGames aim for a swift mobile release. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test via a signup form on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Is This the Ultimate Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave authentically, inhabiting vast open-world environments inspired by the US and Europe, providing a 55-square-mile hunting ground.
The game features a range of authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, and incorporates detailed tracking elements, including blood splatter analysis and animal sign interpretation, to ensure successful hunts. See the game in action below:
The game's ecosystem dynamically responds to player actions. Overhunting in a specific area will cause animals to relocate, adding a layer of realism and consequence.Way of the Hunter also includes an in-game economy, allowing players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, and the mobile version will offer full controller support.
