Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage – A Roguelike Deck-Builder Sets Sail in 2025
Fabled Game Studio is preparing to launch Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2019 hit, Pirates Outlaws. This enhanced roguelike deck-builder promises a familiar yet significantly improved experience. The full release is slated for 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
An open beta test is currently underway on Steam, running from October 25th to 31st. Mobile gamers will need to wait a little longer for their chance to play. Before you embark on this new seafaring adventure, let's explore the key changes.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a fresh hero with a backstory set years after the original game. This hero begins with pre-built decks and unique ability cards. But the innovations don't stop there:
- Companions: Introduce unique cards to your deck.
- Card Fusion: Combine three identical cards to create a more powerful card.
- Evolution Tree: Customize your deck's progression through an upgrade system. No more discarding valuable cards!
- Relic Acquisition: Relics are now found in markets, after boss battles, and during special events, rather than after every fight.
- Countdown Battle System: A new system impacts enemy turn order. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "Redraw" mechanic.
- Enhanced Armor and Shield System: A revamped defensive system adds strategic depth.

Despite the numerous additions, the core gameplay loop remains intact. Players will still engage in strategic deck-building, navigate treacherous seas, and conquer the Arena and Campaign modes.
