The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, aptly named "Shining Revelry," has introduced a dazzling array of shiny variants, bringing more than 110 new cards to the game. This exciting update includes cards from the Paldea region, enhancing the collection and making it more diverse. As a fan, I couldn't resist spending some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs right after the update went live. To my delight, I pulled a Charizard EX, though the rest of my haul was less impressive. However, snagging a Pokémon Center Lady card was a pleasant surprise, given her ability to heal Special Conditions, which can be a game-changer against debilitating effects like Burn.
Alongside the new cards, the update also introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn stylish new badges to show off to their friends. But the real excitement comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players can now compete against other Trainers, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your performance will be tracked with points, and at the end of the season, which lasts approximately one month, you'll be awarded an emblem based on your achievements. This feature has reignited my passion for the game, prompting me to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
If you're eager to dive into the fun, you can download Pokémon TCG Pocket for free on the App Store and Google Play, though it does offer in-app purchases.
