Important Considerations:

Minecraft split-screen is a console-exclusive feature. PC players are unfortunately excluded. Ensure your TV or monitor supports at least 720p HD resolution, and that your console is capable of outputting this resolution. HDMI is recommended for optimal connection; VGA users may need to manually adjust the resolution in their console settings.

Local Split-Screen Gameplay:

Up to four players can enjoy local split-screen on a single console. Here's how:

  1. Connect your console: Use an HDMI cable to connect your console to your HDTV.
  2. Launch Minecraft: Start Minecraft and select "Create New World" or load an existing save. Crucially, disable multiplayer in the game settings.
  3. Configure your world: Choose difficulty, game mode, and world settings as desired.
  4. Start the game: Press the "Start" button (or equivalent) to load the world.
  5. Add players: Once loaded, press the "Options" button (PS) or "Start" button (Xbox) twice to add additional players.
  6. Log in and play: Each player logs into their account to join the game. The screen will automatically split into sections for each player (2-4 players supported).

Online Multiplayer with Local Split-Screen:

While you can't directly split-screen with online players, you can combine local split-screen with online multiplayer. Follow the steps for local split-screen, but this time, enable multiplayer in the game settings before starting the game. Invite your online friends to join your world.
